Rollerblades look like ice skates, only they have wheels instead of blades. Unlike traditional skates used in roller-skating with a two by two formation, the wheels are arranged in a long row that runs the length of the skate. This makes for a faster skate and better control. Rollerblading requires a minimum level of fitness and balance and some stamina to keep going, but can be enjoyed by most people who want to get fit and have fun at the same time. Mainly as a form of exercise you will tone your thighs and buttocks and improve your co-ordination.
There is risk of injury, so all bladers, advanced as well as beginners should wear protective clothing; wrist, elbow and knee guards are recommended. When rollerblading on holiday, for example on the promenade behind the beach, make sure to stay in control, obey basic rules of etiquette and stay out of the traffic. Rollerblading is becoming very popular in cities, especially in Paris and New York, in public spaces and parks, as a great way to get around and a great way to get fit.
Whilst you are rollerblading on holiday, you will covered with insurance from Holiday Insurance Web.
