Reverse Bungee

In this sport, a participant is anchored to the ground with strong and safe parachute harness. The bungee chord is then attached to the participant and the chord is stretched to around five times its original length. Post stretch, the participant is released and he or she shoots up to a height of around 140ft in just two or three seconds. Sometimes called catapult or bungee rocket, this type of activity is offered at many open air events and can be done in tandem or groups of three in a special re-inforced capsule.

Generally a bit less daredevil than orthodox bungee jumping, where the participant has to take the leap themselves, in reverse bungee, once you are strapped in, someone else decides when you launch.
