Land Yachting

Land yachting is a growing and truly green sport with no noise, pollution or site damage. Modern land yachts are very fast and highly enjoyable. They can be dismantled quickly and transported easily. They use the same technology as sailors use for ships only land yachting is for sheer exhilaration and rarely used for actual travelling. The new lightweight machines are capable of terrifying speeds, some reaching nearly 100 m.p.h. On ice, speeds approaching 150 m.p.h. can be achieved with special ice blades.

Nowadays most land yachts are made of lightweight carbon-fibre materials, they sit low to the ground and the pilot rides almost lying down. They have one wheel at the front and two at the back, a large sail and no brakes. With good training, skill and a little daring you can experience what is probably the ultimate speed thrill without an engine.
