Golfers may now find it easier and cheaper to take their clubs, covered by their holiday insurance, abroad, as an airline announces a new partnership with a golfing company.Monarch has added Teetimesanywhere.com (TTAW.com) to its portfolio, making the company's resources and discounted tee times more easily available to Monarch customers
The group's associated golf clubs include 66 courses in Spain, 45 in Portugal, 16 in the Canary Islands and 11 in the Balearics.
TTAW.com claims that as a result of bulk booking over 60,000 rounds of golf internationally each they "have negotiated the best prices in the market".
"In lots of cases TTAW.com's prices are as much as 20% cheaper than going direct to the golf course," the company continues.
Experts warn that golf clubs can cost hundreds of pounds, which can be above the maximum per-item cover of many annual holiday insurance policies.
Golfers are advised by insurers to add a specialist golf option to their travel insurance policy or increase the amount they are insured for when playing overseas.
