Britons thinking of taking a surfing holiday this year may be attracted by the top European destination of the Silver Coast in Portugal.With miles of white sand met by perfect waves, the Costa de Prata is tipped as one of the top surfing destinations on the continent
There's fun for all the family, as the beach is the location for the annual World Junior Surfing Championships, while Eurocamp notes that the west coast of the country is a haven not yet overrun with tourists.
"Head to Eurocamp's Sao Pedro de Moel parc situated in the small seaside resort," the company reports.
"This peaceful and charming parc is shaded by pine trees and includes a swimming pool with slides, table tennis and bike hire."
Eurocamp offers self-catering mobile home and camping holidays at a range of destinations across Europe.
In 2005, holiday insurance provider Direct Line reported that many businesses in the UK now back the idea of giving employees time off to travel the world and engage in adventure activities ranging from surfing to camel riding.
