Britons planning a trip to Italy have been told that - through renting a holiday home - it has never been easier to take a trip to il Bel Paese.Travel accommodation provider Interhome claims to offer an "unrivalled" selection of holiday homes in Italy and travellers can pick up their holiday insurance and opt for a stay in properties ranging from city apartments to castles in the countryside.
Holidaymakers who prefer a beach holiday can choose rooms from four apartments near Massa Lubrense on the Amalfi coast, with private boat hire available for those interested in water sports.
"Each apartment has its own terrace with outdoor furniture, outside shower and a Jacuzzi where you can relax and enjoy the sea views," the company reports.
Last year, holiday insurance provider Churchill reported that 18 per cent of Britons travel to the Italian Alps when going on a skiing trip.
