Soon-to-be married couples looking to pick up holiday insurance and check the brochures for honeymoon destinations have been given a list of top ten tips to ensure their trip goes smoothly.Topping the list by HoneymoonTravelAgent.com is the advice to pick a destination carefully and be prepared to compromise with your future spouse if necessary.
Other advice included getting proper budgeting, keeping important documents safe and planning activities in advance.

"There is one thing that all newlyweds have in common - they agree that their honeymoon is a once-in-a-lifetime event."
In May, holiday insurance provider American Express reported that a quarter of Britons spend over £5,000 on their honeymoon.
The company recommended that honeymooners should "double-check" that their trip is properly covered by a single trip or annual holiday insurance policy.
