Holidaymakers 'can save time' with luggage delivery

Travellers with holiday insurance planning on heading to the US this winter may want to take advantage of a luggage delivery service, as a registered traveller program announces an alliance with a door-to-door worldwide luggage delivery firm.Clear has signed a partnership agreement with Luggage Forward by which its members obtain a ten per cent discount on its baggage delivery service.
Fred Fischer, senior vice president of strategic sales at Clear, said: "We are committed to providing our travellers with a fast, convenient travel experience.
He added that the company's new partnership with Luggage Forward would give holidaymakers "peace of mind" concerning the whereabouts of their baggage during what can be a frantic winter holiday season.
Sainsbury's Bank recently reported that lost baggage, money and documents accounted for 13 per cent of its holiday insurance claims, while delayed travel or baggage accounted for an additional 12 per cent.
