Holiday destination 'proves popular with investors'

Spain is an attractive country for property investors in the UK because it has been a holiday destination for so long, it is argued.According to Pierre Williams, a spokesman for property investment information group Inside Track, the Spanish sunshine is also an attraction to would-be buyers - many of whom will take out holiday insurance to visit a potential purchase.
Mr Williams suggests that there is a well established ex-pat community in the country, making the destination an attractive one for property buyers.
Furthermore, many of the properties bought by people from the UK will be rented out to holidaymakers who visit the country after buying a trip with their travel agents.
Earlier this week, a travel survey from the Millennium agency found that Spain was the most popular package holiday destination for over-50s.
Scotland, Tenerife and the US also features in the survey's top ten holiday venues.
