Travellers on short trips to enjoy a hen or stag weekend have been advised that - although these trips can be quite short - it is still important to purchase holiday insurance for peace of mind.Special occasions planner Confetti reports that a jaunt abroad for a pre-wedding celebration is becoming increasingly popular among Britons.
The firm advises that without holiday insurance things can be spoilt if the unexpected occurs while away on a stag or hen trip.
Carol Richardson, public relations manager at the firm, said: "With the erratic weather that we're having and situations at airports across the world, it's well worth taking out insurance, just for peace of mind."
In June 2007, Experian reported that Britons spend around £130 on attending stag and hen nights, with the cost of turning up at a wedding rising to £386, when gifts, clothes, drinks, travel and accommodation are taken into account.
