Families offered cultural trips to India
10 April 2007  A specialist truck-based travel agency has announced the launch of a "unique" family adventure trip to India.

Dragoman Overland, a firm that uses its fleet of over 35 trucks to organise adventure holidays, reports that it will launch its ten-night family holidays to India after the success of its Africa-based itineraries.

Charlie Hopkinson, marketing director at the firm, said: "It's a package we've been working on for some time and we're very excited about it."

He added that the firm was aware of a genuine demand for overland truck-based travel that offers unique but physically undemanding experiences abroad.

The holiday package include truck transport, accommodation, meals and the expertise on offer from the firm's employees, with the trips taking in Old Delhi and Delhi itself, the Rajasthan Desert among other Indian destinations.

Last year, holiday insurance provider Churchill predicted a shift in the chosen destinations of UK holidaymakers over the next 45 years as the means of travel develop, with hypersonic planes forecast to reduce the flight time to India by six hours.
