Britons 'should remember to buy holiday insurance'

With the start of June bringing the school holidays closer, Britons have been advised to ensure they have sufficient holiday insurance for their travels.Nationwide advises those holidaying in the UK - as well as those heading abroad - to make sure they are financially protected during their summer break.
Robin Bailey, insurance director at the firm, has advised travellers to take the time to shop around for the most appropriate holiday insurance policy.
Nationwide itself has announced a range of holiday insurance special offers, which follows the launch of deals from other providers including Tesco and Bradford & Bingley.
"Just like the holiday itself, it's worth taking time to shop around to make sure you are taking out the right policy for your travelling needs," said Mr Bailey.
Earlier this year, Sainsbury's Bank advised travellers to not automatically purchase holiday cover from their travel agent and instead look around online for a better deal.
