Families planning their holidays for 2008 have been advised to consider the Alsace region in France.The area is reported to be the site of perfect scenery in terms of both attractiveness and adventure, with the region's 34 castles not far from its adventure and safari parks.
Alsace also features a Unesco World Biosphere Reserve where families of all ages can engage in a number of activities, from paragliding and hiking to mountain biking and skiing.
"The region of Alsace in France has the perfect recipe for a family holiday to suit even the most demanding of tastes," the local tourist board claims.
It adds that the region - the second driest in France - hosts countless annual events celebrating music, flora, cars and more.
Tourism Alsace recommends tourists purchase the Pass Passion - a cultural pass valid for one or two adults from April to December providing reduced entry to a number of castles, parks and museums.
